At our meeting on September 24th, the OBTC will unveil the results of our 2014 Board Elections.  We’ll also hear a presentation from the OB Community Development Corporation (OBCDC). Come learn about OB’s nonprofit that undertakes large-scale community improvement projects; provides quality affordable housing; and promotes sustainable practices.

Additionally, we will host community breakout sessions to ‘Get Active – Get Involved – Make an OB Difference.’ There are plenty of small-scale community infrastructure projects that need your help. Examples include fixing up Ebers Children’s Park, designing OB dog poop bag dispensers, solving the Pier ‘shed’ lighting’; installation of Respect OB signs. We’ll help provide the tools and resources community members need to organize ourselves and take action.  We’ll also have sign-up sheets for each project, and suggestions for next steps. Come with your ideas and let’s get organized to tackle these small-scale infrastructure projects as a community!

The OB Town Council hosts public meetings on the 4th Wednesday every month except November and December. Regular speakers include local leaders, political, business and law enforcement representatives, as well as members from all corners of the Ocean Beach community. Whether you’re a long-time OB-cean or just want to learn more about OB, all are welcome!
