OB Drought

California’s drought is on everyone’s mind – from ‘drip pinching’ to help your pocket book, to being part of an eco-H2O savvy community, to joining the ‘dirty car club’ – we’ll all trying to do our part. Join us to learn about community and individual solutions to the drought!

Also, we’re going to be collecting donations of new socks for homeless veterans for Operation Standdown. One weekend every summer, Veteran’s Village provides shelter and services for San Diego’s homeless veterans and their families. And every year there aren’t enough socks for everyone. This year, Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins is hosting a sock drive so that our homeless veterans and their families will have an ample supply of socks on hand at Stand Down 2015. Please bring your donation of new socks to our meeting and we’ll get them to Operation Stand Down.

The OB Town Council hosts public meetings on the 4th Wednesday every month except November and December. Regular speakers include local leaders, political, business and SDPD law enforcement representatives, as well as members from all corners of the Ocean Beach community. Whether you’re a long-time OBcean or just want to learn more about OB, all are welcome!
